How can I deal with my ISP's restrictive email policy?

Answer

Some ISP's require that you only send mail that has a valid ISP address as the 'from' address. This means that you cannot send an email marked as from ' \n me@mydomain.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ', where 'mydomain.com' is the domain hosted at HostHost. Instead your 'from' address must be ' \n me@restrictiveISP.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ', causing your email to appear less professional.

The best way to deal with this is to set your 'from' address as your ISP address and the 'return' address as your 'mydomain' address. Nearly all email clients display the 'return' address, and, of course, use that address when the recipient clicks 'reply'
